Karate-do Shotokai Newshttp://www.karatedoshotokai.com/[Cardiff] Cardiff senior instructors instruct at Belgium coursehttp://www.karatedoshotokai.com/viewNewsArticle.php?article=410 Two of our senior instructors travelled to Belgium to instruct at a weekend course.

Steve Court has been a member of the KDS organisation since 1995 and was graded by Harada Sensei to 3rd Dan in Dec 2013.

Roy Margetts joined the KDS in 1977 and has been a 5th Dan instructor and member of the KDS Technical Executive for many years.

Summer School bookings openhttp://www.karatedoshotokai.com/viewNewsArticle.php?article=409Summer School will once again take place in August (12th - 20th) at the University of Kent in Canterbury.

The earlier you register the less likely it will be that you will miss this great opportunity to practise at a sustained high level. It also greatly reduces the administrative burden associated with running the course.

Finally, please note that there is a penalty of £50 for all applications received later than the 11th June. We are continuing to offer an additional student discount of £50, as well as an additional discount of £50 for first time attendees.

The closing date for all applications is 16th July. Unfortunately, late applications cannot be accommodated as we have to finalise the numbers with the University by that date.

Please also note that late cancellations will lose their deposit, as we have to pay the University once we confirm the numbers.

All applications for this course are to made through the members only area of the site. Anyone having trouble should speak to their club membership secretary.

[Newcastle] Newcastle KDS - National All Grades Course 9th -11th June 2017http://www.karatedoshotokai.com/viewNewsArticle.php?article=406 Following the success of last year’s course, Newcastle KDS warmly invites you all up North to attend the first national KDS course since Spring School. The course is open to all grades and will be taken by the 4th Dan group and overseen by Marie Kellett  5th Dan.

We are hosting the course in the city centre,  in a state of the art venue within the University of Northumbria and we’re planning a couple of cracking socials so it’s promising to be an excellent weekend! At least as good as last years and the perfect chance to experience some Geordie hospitality.

Just like last year, we’d especially like to encourage our student members to make the journey. It’s a great opportunity to combine some really hard training with some end of exam celebrations!  A fantastic start to the summer!

As if all of that wasn’t enough, we are honoured to have our Principal and Chief Instructor Mitsusuke Harada Sensei MBE as our special guest over the weekend.

Also, bear in mind…this is your last chance to attend an all grades UK course before Summer School 2017.
